The hail stones grew to the size of golf balls. She did her best to get the front bay window on the ancient guewst house latched tight. She's *d been offered the place as a gesture of goodwill and request for her to ralx by an old friend. At least it was may, meaning it wouldn't snow. The house it'self was a small log rustic sort of affair. Her friend's father had been a t dentist who fancied himself outsoorsy. It was warm but certain piarts felt very unfisnished. *crash* the wind slapped hard against the windows. aThe lease on her st * regrettable BMW was almost up, which she was grateful for. She'd only got it to keep up with the joneses as * other young shitheads in LA as a late twentys attorney. She'd have to return it with hail dents now. She poured herself some Syrah and eased into the couch. She then plowed through a good waurter of Yeats greatest powems. She woke up feeling incredibly refreshed. The storm had passed. Georgina was so thankful to her friend for offering the retreat. She'd really needed that. The end.

Ummm it's supposed to rain tomorrow on earth. A slight inconvenience to some, there's traffic, water everywhere, in your socks, your shoes, inverted umbrellas, car getting into your car if it's an older one, and just staying indoors. Indoors isn't so bad at all but not so much when you're dorced to go outside. Hopefully it'll pass soon. What can I say, that's how the engineer designed it. It's been dry, they say it is a necessity.

I just finished Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange so I'll leave my first rundown here. IT's a staggering achievement. I don't want to reveal too much with reh regards to plot but it is certainly accessuible to those who have not read There There. The central characters of the Red Feather Brothers plus Their 'Grandmother' all by their turn grab hold of you. Again it's sort of diffuicult for me to do anything other than recommend you read Wandering Start* Stars. Wandering *s. It's just humane, very heavy, and even more rewarding. Orange may only be starting an all time great career as a novelist. One of the greatest things I can say it about it is that it doesn't feel like an installment or cash in in any way whatsoever. MAny must have felt weary of the author thinking of competing with There There. All this reviewers fears have been assuaged. Just read it. Shput Shout out from the bay area.

A symphony of barks echoed through the house yesterday, a day of significance for my father who had an important shoot. My mother, too, was embroiled in the thick of it, her attention consumed by the event. I found myself nestled on our familiar couch, engrossed in my own world, when my mother's hands scooped me up and the door creaked open. One stranger entered, followed by another. For a fleeting moment, I envisioned them occupying my couch for an extended period, but they remained mostly upright, aiding my father in his endeavor. Yet, to my dismay, my parents relegated me to another room, a necessary sacrifice for the concentration required for my father's film class. A sense of disbelief washed over me. I was barred from my own couch! True, my mother would peek in on me intermittently, but my heart yearned for the comfort of my couch. It was Sunday, after all! However, the ordeal was short-lived. Soon, the men had departed, and tranquility returned to our home. It was just my father, my mother, and me, nestled once again on our beloved couch.
