Wow. Up until now I had been nothing but delighted with USAA as my insurance carrier. TLDR; They are pretty misleading about what is covered in their policies. One would think that an e-bike which is capable of battery free operation classifies as a bicycle but that apparently is patently untrue. Their iPhone app and website t do their best to keep the fine print from would be customers. Other TLDR; be super proactive, raead your fine print and explicitly ask. It's just ridiculous that they wouldn't make a rounding error good faith effort for a longtime customer. Now I'll be posting about this everywhere. I am dropping my renters policy today and will be shipping for my auto and other insurance. Thanks USAA.
